Ideas are Eternal

You will never fail because of a lack of ideas.

Ideas are eternal, like the sun coming up each morning, sunbeams streaming across your horizon and disappearing just as quickly. But remnants and fragments remain to tease and taunt you. Ideas are the nucleus of all art projects and float around you until you put your mind to capturing and growing them.

Ideas are never scarce or undiscovered, just not used, applied, tested or given unconditional support. Sometimes we lose an idea, but it can always be found and will resurface at the perfect moment.

Ideas are like the first law of thermodynamics. Einstein said, "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.“ Just like ideas.

Many times, we put in our hard work and there are no immediate “positive” results. These ideas get parked, forgotten or lost…… Or yet to be transformed.

And yet some of our best creations come from finding a parked or forgotten idea. Our new experiences provide a new context, shedding new light on the idea. What couldn’t or didn’t work suddenly feels like an easy, natural process.

So treat your ideas like your intellectual property. Saved, precious and always waiting to be realized. They are lost and found as you explore life and art. Trust that tomorrow there will be new ideas and new perspectives on parked ideas.

Which ideas and creations will you lose and find (again)?
